MORIGAN releases the long-awaited debut-album “Cynical™” on May 12th under Thrashmark Records.

The album containing seven original tracks and one remix got its name from the band’s quest for their genre. “Every band starting up faces the question how to define their style, the codename to label their music. We chose cynical thrash metal as our genre label to indicate both the sound of the band as well as the character of the lyrics,” explained the band’s vocalist Mari-Liis Jakobson.
In addition to the visually compelling lyrics and technical, yet melodical instrumentals, one of MORIGAN’s traits is also a rather rare female vocal. Worshippers of angel choirs, adress your wishes somewhere else – MORIGAN treats its listeners with robust melodical vocals and deep draconian growls.
The official presentation of the album takes place on May 29th in Rock’n'roll Heaven, Tartu, Estonia and is supported by Preternatural (LV) and Catafalc (EST). By now, a presentation is confirmed also in Viljandi, in Cinema Rubiin on May 22th with Necro Strike (EST) and Burn Still (EST). The record is available for preordering through info@morigan.ee and soon also in record stores over Estonia.
“Cynical™” is recorded and mixed in Zorg Sound Laboratory by Toomas “Grozmot” Paidra and mastered cynical enough by Kristo Kotkas in Sinusoid Studio. The cover of the album is designed by Kristjan “Luix” Luiga luix.com.
MORIGAN, officially dating back to 1998 AD, obtained its present style and visage in 2004. Since then, MORIGAN has shared the stage with most of Estonia’s metal scene’s heavy artillery.
WE THANK YOU ALL!!!
